Over the Xmas and New Years holidays we added a new Summary table feature to all the grouped by accounting reports (such as Accounting entries grouped by building, by category, etc.). The summary table is at the top of the report as shown in the screenshot above in addition to all the grouped by individual accounting entries like before. This allows you to get a quick summary along with all the totals for each group right at the top of the report without having to first go through the itemized lists and totals. You could always get this summary through reports such as the P&L reports and so on but this is add a lot of extra convenience for people who want a quick total while running the grouped by reports.
We are looking to extend this feature to add new dedicated accounting “Summary” reports in the near future due to how this new feature has been received so far. This summary feature will also in the future be extended to other reports types beyond the accounting reports.
Although this is a smaller feature we thought it was worth mentioning here due to the positive feedback we’ve already received about it. It’s one of many new features we plan on adding in the coming year.
One of our New Year’s goals as a company is to not only continue releasing new features in the software, but to also announce them here. That is to say in the past when we released new features we just released them, we rarely did much in terms of announcements and fanfare about new features as we released them. Therefore as a company our New Year’s resolution for 2025 is to try to be more public about new features when they are released, to let people know, in essence to create more awareness of new features as they are released.
