Hi there. I am looking at purchasing Landlordmax. I just have a question with regards to Net Operating Income. I enjoy the ability to have mortgage payments included in the accounting process through out the year to keep track of cash flow, however, is it possible to have a report printed for NOI, (operating income - operating expenses) which does not include the mortgage payments? Also, we are looking at upgrading our laptop to desktop, is it possible to purchase the software while still working on the laptop, and move the software to the desk top on its arrival. Thank you in advance for any help Best regards |

Hi Gordon, It's great to hear that you're looking to purchase LandlordMax. In regards to your NOI question, it's not possible to generate a report and just exclude one category such as the mortgage category. That being said, please note that you can export all reports to the CSV file format, which can then be imported into Excel and customize as you wish. So for example, you can generate a report such as "Accounting entries grouped by categories" and simply delete the group of mortgage entries in Excel. The following video explains how to export reports: https://www.landlordmax.com/releaseNotesV605/Export/Export.htm In regards to moving the software and your database, absolutely. Firstly you will want to confirm that you're new computer has the same or a newer version of LandlordMax because the software is not forwards compatible, just like you can't open a Microsoft Word 2010 document in Microsoft Word 95. To move your data from one computer to another, what you need to do is "backup" the database on the other computer and "restore" it on the other computer. To backup your database, go to the "Import/Export" workarea, and then select "Database Management". On this screen you will find four main sections, click on "Browse" button of the "Backup Database" section and select where you'd like to save a backed up copy of your database. Then on your other computer, again go to the same screen. This time, rather than click on the "Browse" button of the "Backup Database" section, click on the "Browse" button of the "Restore Database" section and find and select your backed up database file which you transfered to your other computer. You can also find more information about how to backup and restore your database at: http://landlordmax.com/support/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=140 Regards, Stephan Grenier Founder LandlordMax Software Inc. http://www.LandlordMax.com http://www.FollowSteph.com http://www.RealEstatePigeon.com http://www.BlogBlazers.com |
